Tues. 10:15 a.m. - 11 a.m. This program is geared toward babies from newborn to 2 1/2 years. The 45 minute program will include nursery rhymes, songs, baby sign language and playtime. Space is limited. Older siblings may attend. Location: Youth Activity Room
Wed. 10:15 a.m. - 11 a.m. September - May only Forty Carrots "Partners in Play" is a series of free outreach parenting classes facilitated by parenting educators from Forty Carrots Family Center. Children and their caregivers have the chance to enjoy playtime together, spend time with other families and get valuable parenting information. Classes are for children ages birth to 5, accompanied by and adult. Space is limited to 12 families.
Fri. 10:15 a.m. - 11 a.m. Preschoolers, ages 2 1/2 - 5, and their parent, guardian or caregiver are invited to join us for stories, songs, finger plays, rhymes and crafts. Younger siblings are invited. Space is limited. Location: Youth Activity Room .

Third Tuesday of the month 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to come to the library and read to Suncoast Human Society pet therapy dogs. The dogs make patient and understanding listeners, giving children the chance to develop their reading skills. School age and preschool children are welcome. Registration is not necessary. Location: Youth Activity Room
Weekly programs are scheduled for children of all ages. There are special guests, stories, songs, crafts, workshops and creative dramatics. In the Summer of 2009, there were 295 registered for the Summer Read-a-Thon, with 63 children completing their reading logs. There were 70 children's programs with an attendance of 2571. Children read a total of 6138 days.
