Book Sale: On-going book sale provided by the Friends of the Library. Featuring a wide variety of new and used books. Most hardbacks are $1. A wide variety of magazines are available at 10 cents each. Card Catalog: Search the library catalog of holdings by author, title, subject or keyword for all Sarasota County Libraries. Circulating Collections: A diverse assortment of educational, recreational and cultural materials are available for at home use, including: fiction, romance, mysteries, science fiction, large print titles, non-fiction, CDs, CD-ROMs, videos, audios, books on tape and art prints. Deposit Collections: Small collections of books may be borrowed on a regular basis by group homes and centers. An organizational library card may be obtained from any Sarasota County Public Library upon the presentation of the application form. This form must contain the name/names of the person responsible for the items to be checked out on the card. Equipment: Available for use at the library: photocopier, microform reader printer. Available for home use: 16mm slide projector. Inter-library loans: Books not available within the Sarasota County Libraries department may be borrowed from a national network of libraries at no charge. Just ask the reference staff. Meeting Room: O.T. Alexander Room has a capacity for 99 and is available to non-profits. The conference room has a capacity for ten.
