Sustainability Month Event Descriptions:

Adult Programs:

Container Gardening -- Garden in small spaces and create a lavish landscape using containers planted with your favorite flowers or herbs. Offered by UF/IFAS Extension Services.

Managing in Hard Times -- Tips to help you reduce stress by saving money and achieving the balance you need for a happy, healthy life. Offered by UF/IFAS Extension Services.

Stretching Your Food Dollar -- A smorgasbord of strategies and recommendations to help you reduce your personal food expenses. Offered by UF/IFAS Extension Services.

Urban Trees: Growing the Future -- Learn how trees hold the answer to growing and consuming SMART, in urbanizing communities like our own. Enjoy a seedling-give-away featuring trees for health neighborhoods. Offered by Urban Forestry Operations. 

 

Youth Programs:

Seedling-Give-Away:
Families will receive tree seedlings during some storytime programs. Seedlings will be provided by Urban Forestry Operations. 


Young Adult Programs:

Recycling Workshops:
Young adults will be recycling old items to make something new.
